Thank you for your feedback, Wendy. I'm sorry your experience was less than expected. We want everyone to feel their visit with us was worthwhile and worthy of return visits. Here are some follow-up comments: 1) We now have an office manager who fields all of our calls and emails so scheduling is much more streamlined. 2) Your therapist spent many years as a back-office nurse in dermatology, is highly trained in neuromuscular therapy, and knows the difference between a muscle knot and a lipoma. The intent was not to work on that spot, but rather to displace the lipoma and access the muscles beneath. 3) Not sure how to address the smoke smell. We are non-smokers. 4) Communication is key to a successful massage therapy session and is not the sole responsibility of the therapist. If you want more or less pressure, more or less focused attention in a particular area, table temperature is not perfect, music volume needs adjusting, etc., tell your therapist! We expect that. Mind reading is not a skill we possess. 5) Had you brought your concerns to our attention privately, rather than posting a sub-standard review, we would have offered something to make it right. We understand your time and money are valuable and will never willingly or knowingly waste it.
