Other fancy restaurants serve fusion cuisine. Tex Wasabi's, on the other hand, serves sushi and barbecue confusion. That means that instead of serving mashups of the culinary styles that inspired them, they specialize equally in slow-smoked barbecue and in classic makimono, nigiri, and sashimi. Of course, there's bound to be a bit of crossover. Take the Snakebite, for example—it's a deep-fried roll with pulled pork, shrimp tempura, and barbecue sauce. You'll find a similar theme on the drinks menu, where sake from Hiroshima and Kyoto clinks gleefully against shots of Jack Daniels.
