Maximum Fitness Gym fills its more than 16,000 square feet with unique exercise equipment with which clients can work hard and get their bodies in shape backed by a staff of supportive trainers. A battery of cardio and strength-training machines occupies the floor alongside free weights that include four squat cages, an elevated deadlift platform, an Olympic lifting platform with rubber plates, and dumbbells that weigh up to 150 pounds. Elsewhere, a boxing and MMA-training area complements heavy bags and speed bags with hittable human-like mannequins to simulate a real opponent's longing stare. For more extreme, rigorous workouts, members can try everything from flipping tractor tires and swinging sledgehammers to pounding tsunami ropes and pushing Prowler sleds. To help with individual workouts, Maximum Fitness employs a team of more than 20 independent trainers who range from college athletes and professional body builders to a member of the United States Air Force Reserve—many of whom lead regular classes and boot camps to help clients extend their training beyond lifting the same three-ton boulder over their head every day.
