About Tesoro Ristorante Italiano

Though it's a bit of a hidden gem tucked into Scottsdale's Ancala Village, Tesoro Ristorante Italiano has built a loyal following in the Valley with its tasty Italian cuisine. Meals here begin with shareable antipasto items, such as grilled sea scallops in pesto sauce, before moving into a robust selection of entrées. These include meat- and cheese-stuffed ravioli, gnocchi in tomato-cream sauce, and linguine loaded with mussels, clams, calamari, and other edible treasures from the sea. Conveniently, most of the restaurant's menu can be ordered for takeout, too, which is ideal for anyone who likes to take their lasagna on a sightseeing tour before eating it.

The food was great and flavorful, service was not great. There weren't too many tables in the restaurant two servers on and we waited awhile for our appetizer, the scallops w/ pesto. The server unfortunately took it to the wrong table and told us that(I respect her for the honesty) but overall had to wait about 25 minutes for the appetizer. Good thing we weren't in a rush or we would've left.

The food was excellent! Our waitress was very nice, but didn't know how to use the wine opener, so we showed her how to do it. Didn't bother us at all. We did have reservations, but were seated right next to the kitchen, even though there were plenty of tables available. We really enjoyed the food and evening. We will definitely go back. This was our third visit, but first time with a Groupon.

Great little place. A little reminiscent of small restaurants in SF, the ones out in the Avenues.

Food was fairly good but portions were very small for the price. Service was ok but there were only 2 tables filled. Rather go to Olive garden.
