Founder Heather Scearce started practicing Pilates in 1997 after she suffered a severe back injury in a car accident. As it turns out, Pilates became an essential factor in her recovery, fueling her desire to help others discover the beneficial exercise form for themselves. In addition to one-on-one sessions, Conscious Body Pilates now offers Barre and Group Reformer classes in their newly remodeled space. The classes are small and promise more elbow room for friends, families and sock-puppet troupes to workout in tandem.
