About Paseo Carribean Food

Recently ranked #1 best place to eat in US by Yelp, Paseo has perfected the art of crafting Caribbean-inspired sandwiches out of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. First, the kitchen staff preps their signature bread, a toasted baguette slathered in creamy aïoli. They then add in the star ingredients of each compilation, ranging from seafood like saucy tiger prawns and seared scallops to marinated pork shoulder, a Latin American favorite. To top it off, they throw in a mix of pickled jalapeños, caramelized onions, and fresh cilantro, giving each sandwich the zesty flavor profile that has helped the restaurant become one of the most popular in Seattle and have a following around the world.

Bought the special, the scallop sandwich. To me, the more messy the food generally the better the food - the scallop sandwich met this criteria in spaces! i also purchased a 1/2 salad; as awesome as the sandwich was, the Paseo Green 1/2 salad pretty much sucked. It only had greens and red cabbage; it was supposed to include pickled beets and cilantro, both which were we conspicuous in their absence. Though a bargain at $4, it was just lettuce with dressing. Summarizing, the sandwich was two thumps up, the salad was 1.5 thumbs down.
