Greenwood Nail Spa, Seattle

Nice family run neighborhood business. It's a hole in the wall and definitely not a "spa" atmosphere, but employees are friendly and willing to accommodate. There's somewhat of a language barrier, however, there are enough employees to function as interpreters. :) My pedicure was very relaxing, although I was hoping that my feet would be buffed a little better (more time was spent in trimming and cleaning out toe nails than in making sure all rough spots on the foot were smoothed to perfection) but perhaps that would require cutting of dead skin, which I understand the state of Washington doesn't allow in nail salons :(

The service was mediocre Staff doesn't speak fluent English and inattentive to the client needd They had a lackadaisical attitude! Spoke Vietnamese the whole time and even talked smaabout clients which I found to be rude and impolite! The prices are super marked up not great services! First time here and probably won't be back!

The people who were doing nails at Greenwood Nail Spa were very unprofessional and had very bad technique to the point where I now have cuts on the cuticles of my fingers and toes from being cut too deep. I paid for 2 shellacs + 2 pedicures but only received 1 shellac, 1 manicure, and 2 pedicures. I wanted a pale pink shellac but received a clear color. I did not pay to have nails done so poorly that I could have done a better job myself. I suspect that the other two ladies who were doing nails there are not even trained and licensed to be beauticians but were working for cash under the table. The skin on the soles of my feet were peeling by the time they had finished with my pedicure. One of them cut the cuticle on my toe too deep to the point where it bled and then tried to cover it up with cuticle oil and nail polish thinking I would not notice. The technician who did my finger nails was so rude and unprofessional that he stepped away many times in the middle of painting the shellac to handle payment from other customers and was talking to other customers and not even looking at what he was doing while pushing back and cutting my cuticles (thus why I now have cuts on my fingers). At first after messing up one of the shellacs because he did them in such a hurry, the man was a bit apologetic and offered to redo the shellac but then after the second try was also a mess up, he became unapologetic and blamed us for the the shellac messing up and gave us lots of attitude because he just wanted us out of his store by that time. I ended up spending over 2 hours in that store and not even getting what I had paid for. I even regret tipping them (as little as that was for this poor experience). I would NOT RECOMMEND this store to others even with the groupon deal. I expected a mediocre job going into this as I believe you get what you paid for and this was a cheap deal but if I were to redo this experience, I would NOT even go there knowing what I know now. CUSTOMERS BEWARE.
