At La Carreta, the less-is-more philosophy doesn't apply—both locations feature Tolstoy-length menus brimming with classic Mexican staples that range from beef-tip-stuffed chalupas to carnitas with tender sliced pork and tomatillo sauce. The grills fire up at 6:30 a.m. at Dolly Parton location for breakfasts, and both spots provide sweet meal cappers by way of fried tortillas topped with cinnamon, honey, and butter.
