About The Metropolitan Cafe

The Metropolitan Cafe's menu is diverse not just in plate size—there are tapas as well as full-size entrees—but also in its culinary inspirations. The dishes represent a bounty of international flavors, evident in small plates of flank steak nachos, Grecian wings glazed in lemon-garlic sauce, and oysters Rockefeller. The entrees feel global as well; the moussaka-stuffed shells burst with eggplant and kale, and the Michigan orchard pork chop is sweetened by sauteed apples and an apple-brandy reduction.

As suggested by the nostalgic bulb-lit sign and winged quarter notes flying through the dining room, The Metropolitan Cafe is also something of a music venue. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights host everything from blues-rock to soul and R&B.

We had two of their small plates, Island Coconut Shrimp, Ahi Tuna Flatbread and also the Mediterranean Salad Entrée made with all fresh ingredients. I can personal say that my wife and I enjoyed immensely! Jennifer the owner and the entire staff made us feel completely at home. We would recommend to stop in and give it a try, with or with the coupon.

They would not allow us to use the group on because we bought 2 appetizers instead of 2 meals. Plus it's not stated no where in the groupon that it doesn't apply.

The food was good, order the Chorizo stuffed dates for an appetizer, it's a unique and delicious taste combination. The service and drinks were the highlight of our visit! We sat at the bar.

Had lamb shanks,over cooked and not great tasting. soup was barely warm and needed something. no bread or salad. not a good value for the buck,sorry
