The store associate tried to talk us out of using the Groupon and said he had a coupon for a better deal. We buy GNC online regularly, but won't visit this particular location again.

The groupon didn't apply to sale items, so their "buy one get one free" deal wasn't valid with my $40 groupon. So I had to pay full price. In other words, I bought the groupon with the I tension of saving a few bucks, but since it voided GNC's existing sale, I didn't really save much at all. I assumed the groupon was like a gift card, $40 to spend however I pleased... Not the case.
