This was my first time at Smithfield YMCA. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. My first water arobics class, Emily the instructor that day kept getting out of the water to show me the exercises. She went out of her way to help me feel welcome and able to do the exercises. The locker rooms are clean, even with all this yucky sand and salt to deal with. The water in the shower is nice and hot and the pool is a pleasant temperature. My second visit was yesterday. Jenn was in the pool waiting for the babies. Jenn introduced herself and was so helpful explaining the use of the pool. I will be joining for the year and am happy that I got the groupon to give the YMCA a try first.

I was somewhat disappointed in the limited amounts of class times (fitness & aquatics), limited babysitting times, and the fact that the reciprocity of the membership does not apply to classes at other locations.
