At Masala Bay, chef Anita spins together dishes that are representative of her life: interesting and worldly. Born in Africa and raised in India, chef Anita traveled the globe as a flight attendant before landing in the kitchen. Her experiences led her to conclude that people—despite their differences in culture and beliefs—can always come together over good food.
Diners do just that at Masala Bay, where chef Anita puts a gourmet touch on traditional Mediterranean and Indian recipes. But the chef and her team also recognize that recipes are nothing without fresh ingredients—that's why they handpick their produce, and it's also why they ground their own spices and herbs daily. Eventually, chef Anita transforms those elements into flavorful bowls, wraps, and other specialties, such as samosa chaat served with yogurt cucumber sauce.
