It's not easy to find a Chicago-style hot dog Down East, but Chicago Dogs specializes in just that, dishing out that classic and more from their Scarborough outpost. The eatery's namesake item starts with an all-beef dog that's placed into a poppy seed bun and then sprinkled with celery salt and topped with chopped onions, pickle relish, yellow mustard, tomatoes, sport peppers, and a dill pickle spear.

But Chicago Dogs' offerings don't just stop at the Windy City. The eatery—named Best Hot Dog twice by readers of the Portland Press Herald—has a dozen different dogs, including chili, kraut, and even soy, along with Chicago and Philly cheesesteaks, sausages, wraps, salads, and fall off the bone ribs. And at the end of the meal, you can wash it down with an old-fashioned milkshake, enjoy an authentic Maine whoopie pie, and visit the pub with 18 beers on tap.
