The Classes

The "weapons" in Tactical Weapons Training Center refers to many things. On the firearms side, the educational venue hosts concealed-carry permit classes as well as basic- to advanced-level shooting courses. They also teach the use of tasers, women's self-defense classes, and qigong martial arts classes.

As an honorably discharged veteran and retired federal law-enforcement officer—who has taught law-enforcement and military personnel for more than 25 years—Raymond L. Tyler knows the value of proper weapons and self-defense training firsthand. Impressive though his résumé may be, the NRA-certified instructor practices a patient, nonthreatening teaching style that helps students of all skill levels. Mr. Tyler is a certified qigong instructor, who has been studying martial arts since the age of 12.
