Fast professional service. The Star smog inspection took about 40 mins

Horrible experience. I brought in my 08 Maserati. Waited 30 min. Technician could not open the hood because he could not locate the latch (I had to show him). Then he could not find the OBD port (I had to show him that as well). After running the test and inspecting the engine and underneath the car, he asked me if I had recently changed my catalytic converter (I had not). Without providing any information, he asked me for my Groupon code and to pay $10. Only then did he reveal "by the way, your car failed the test" (I had recently disconnected the battery and had not driven long enough for the ECU to measure emissions). When I asked why he hadn't told me immediately that I had failed, he said "I didn't check the result until just now" (I don't appreciate being lied to). When I asked him if I could get a free re-test, he declined (there are lots of Smog Check places that offer free retests at the same rate he charged). Overall impression - unethical and incompetent. i wish I could rate them ZERO STARS. Avoid this place like the plague!
