About Shish Palace - Taylor

The Mediterranean is known for many things: the glamorous beaches of the French Riviera, the historic exploits of Aegean sailors, and the fragrant spices and hearty food of the Lebanon's coast. At Shish Palace, cooks honor that third tradition, turning authentic Lebanese kitfa, beef, and chicken into kebabs, shawarma, and other staple dishes. These meals aren't just delicious; each one is made with the freshest ingredients and imported spices, and is 100% halal-friendly.

Before you place an order, find out more about this little slice of Beirut in the Detroit suburbs:

  • A sample meal: Start with stuffed grape leaves or hummus with sauteed pine nuts, move on to a lamb shish kebab or swordfish ghallaba, and end on a sweet note with house-made baklava.
  • Dinnertime perk: You don't have to disconnect during a trip to Shish Palace; the restaurant offers free WiFi for diners.
  • Rave reviews: "Best restaurant that I've been to in a long time. Will come back. The people who work and own this place are friendly, and very proud of their food and service. We ate way too much because we wanted to try everything. I strongly recommend it."

Service was excellent. I was there with my 4 year old who loves to talk and jump around. The waiter was beyond patient and friendly. He even gave my son a small treat to make him a bit more happy. The fatoosh salad was amazing especially with the fried pita. The classic chicken ghallaba was so flavorful and full of veggies! Love it. Even the lamb chili was incredible! Definitely recommend.

The food was mediocre. You could this type of food from any mediterranean place really. The prices are also a bit too high.

IT was our first time there. I saw a customers order come out, and asked my waiter what it was... it was the salmon. I ordered it, and it was fantastic. I only wish they were closer to where I live... I would go there weekly ! !
