About Grapeline Wine Tours

Grapeline Wine Tours was established in 2002 by founders John and Kim Kelliher with the concept of allowing guests to sample the winemaker's craft with hosted transportation and insider benefits. The Grapehopper Tour is hosted by local experts in the wine industry and offers a flexible day that lets the guest craft their own itinerary from a selection of different wineries. Additionally, Grapeline offers a variety of tours including beer tasting tours and private wine tours.

While the tour was fun, we were under the impression that our tour guide (LaVoy) would be very knowledgeable about the wineries and give us much more guidance to people (like us) who very clearly stated we had no prior knowledge of the area. We let him know we would like his guidance, but, he was very nonchalant about where to go. He was very chatty but talked more about himself and his background than wine country. I am not really sure what we paid for other than transportation, which we had already. And, at over $100 for transportation, which apparently was discounted, was pretty pricey. I also wished we would have gone with the pre-planned tour which included four wineries and lunch. We ate at Callaway winery, which ok and really pricey. And, we only made it to three wineries and were rushed at the end. So, I would recommend if you are new to Temecula and want the most bang for your buck, go with the pre-planned tour on Grapeline's website.
