Designed specifically for use by the Israeli military, krav maga often gets diluted as it gets disseminated. That's why Derrek Hofrichter, chief instructor of East Valley Krav Maga, went directly to the source for his certification. He earned teaching accreditation from the Wingate Institute, Israel's governing body for krav maga trainers. Now, he brings that expertise with him to his classroom, where he teaches students both fitness techniques and self-defense tactics designed to deal with all sorts of attacks found in the modern world. Through the course of study, Derrek and his team of instructors teach students to handle unarmed attacks, multiple opponents, and weapons, preparing them for almost any situation, especially the inevitable punching bag uprising.
