Like any good director or author, Premier Escape Rooms know how to ratchet up the tension. Unfortunately, unlike a movie or book, the character in jeopardy is you. Read on to get a sense of the types of roles you might be playing:

• Conspiracy Cure: Your search for the origin of a mysterious pathogen has led you here: a secret lab responsible for the whole thing. But just as you notice the open test tube that spells your death sentence, the doors slam shut, locking you inside. You've got an hour to find the antidote to save yourself—and the rest of the country.
• Foreign Agent: There's a mole in the intelligence agency, and you, a highly trained (and highly loyal) secret agent, have just found him. Unfortunately, everything hasn't exactly gone according to plan. You've gotten yourself locked in the spy's office while he's out to lunch—for now. Figure out how to break his intricate system of locks before it's too late.
• Hostel Dread: It's been a few days since you've last seen a close friend, and a call from a creepy modulated voice has confirmed your worst fears. The local cops don't seem too concerned, so now it's up to you. Find your friend before you become the next missing person.
