Vida Mia's origins trace back to 1972 in Monterrey, Mexico, where a tight-knit family sold homemade tacos, burgers, and chorizo from their 16-square-foot kitchen. After years of hard work and earning the patronage of countless customers, the family moved the business up north to San Antonio, where its chefs still whip up the simple Mexican meals that graced the menu more than 40 years ago. Unlike TV dinners made with preservatives and artificial love, each dish at Vida Mia draws from fresh, wholesome family recipes, including savory tortilla soups, hearty breakfasts of chilaquiles, and meaty arrachera tacos. Guests cap off their feasts with traditional desserts such as a rich Monterrey chocolate cake, creamy arroz con leche, or caramel-topped flan.
