Oktoberfest, Seaside Heights

As Germany has proven for the past 206 years, the month of October isn't just for sugar-craving kids in costume. Seaside Heights' Oktoberfest celebrates the other Fall tradition of swigging brews in lederhosen (or regular pants) while the polka-esque sounds of the Oompah DELICS and other live bands play in the background. This year the fest will be slinging nearly 30 craft brews from the likes of Breckenridge and Firestone, and furnishing pint glasses with suds from four on-tap kegs in the Festhalle.

But it isn't just about the beer. There'll also be chow from local eateries and food trucks, as well as wares from artisan craftspeople. And for those not yet old enough to appreciate the subtle differences between an IPA and a scotch ale, the fest will feature plenty of kids activities, including sand art, face painting, and an inflatable bounce haus or two.
