In 1982, the company debuted its designer underwear with artistic ad campaigns that grabbed the attention of the public as they passed through Times Square or slurped up cereal milk in between commercial breaks. The impression the gray-toned billboards made in the ‘80s has had a lasting effect—Calvin Klein remains one of the top underwear retailers in the world to this day.
