All are welcome, no experience necessary, and everything is provided. We take pride that we are a from-scratch-cooking-class. Unlike most cooking classes you actually do the prep under the guidance and supervision of a trained professional chef. Classes are in a group setting (avg size 10-14 people). We receive beginners to actual chefs who part take in one of the most popular and high demand cooking classes in Toronto from Head Chef Russell Auckbaraullee of Mauritian decent.

Participants can expect a hands on experience and tons of cooking tips from an experienced well travelled chef who has cooked for Presidents, Royalty, Celebrities and Athletes. Guests are encouraged to ask any cooking related questions. Be sure to have a snack prior, and bring a refreshment and notepad.

Penthouse Catering is a leading fine dining caterer in Toronto. Chef Russell has competed in many food battles including Chopped Canada, Menu Match-Up, Underground Chef Co, Halal Food Festival and Toronto Sushi Festival.

Chef Russell alongside Chef Joe Friday were the winners of The Toronto Sushi Festival beating the best in Toronto. Thus sushi classes started soon after. To date, over 10,000 people have taken the class from all over the world.

Cooking classes are held in the commercial kitchen at The Hub five times a week; including Thai-from-scratch and Knife Skills, including butchering and all fundamentals essential to French cutting techniques. As well as an option to buy a professional chef knife supplied from Canada Cutlery.

Children 9 and up are welcome for either sushi and Thai-classes. 16+ years of age is required for Knife Skills class. The chefs use fresh, locally-sourced produce, including meat, seafood wherever possible.
