About Escape This Live - Towson

Unless you happen to be Jack Sparrow, Doc Brown, or Harrison Ford, you've probably never been in a situation quite like those at Escape This Live. Their escape rooms play out three scenarios—one involving pirates, another a time machine, and the third, an anthropological treasure hunt.

Though each story is distinct, groups have just one hour to solve the mystery at hand to ultimately escape. The rooms test players' ability to solve puzzles, find clues, and work together as a team, much like many reality TV shows and first dates. Escape This Live is kid-friendly, but it's equally appropriate for corporate outings and bachelor/bachelorette parties.

It was one of the most exciting frustrating times ever. The family and I will go there again and again. We truly enjoyed every minute.

The staff person who was working when we arrived was nice and took lots of pictures of our group with our cameras before we left. We chose the room of moderate difficulty, but I felt that it should have been classified as a difficult room. Unfortunately one of the major clues wasn't properly functioning during our visit and so we ended up spending a lot of time trying to get it to work. The staff person tried getting it to work after our time ended but even she had a difficult time. It would be helpful if the staff person keeps an eye on the game more often via the camera because then she may have noticed the clue was stuck and could've come and fixed it before our time was finished. Overall we had fun and would return.
