Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker don't let their Los Angeles address stop them from creating and staging family-friendly productions in Tulsa. After all, the founders of Encore! Theatre Arts hail from the area, and when they're not working on feature films and appearing in shows such as Mad Men and Scandal they return to produce plays and helm workshops. Their work with Encore! goes beyond the stage and classroom, too—they also help design sets and assist directors in casting commercials and other theatrical productions. And their dedication hasn't gone unnoticed. They were recently awarded the You Make a Difference Award from Family & Children's Services thanks to their work with youth in the arts community.
