This groupon expires in February, 2012, and I used it on October 17. Immediately when Dr. Higdon realized that I had a groupon his response was, "We are not doing the groupon anymore." I was surprised by his response and I told him that when I made the appointment I told his staff that I gave this information. I also told him that it did not expire until February 2012. I showed him my groupon on my IPad. He said that these things could be copied! Wow!
All within a span of one minute, I was accused of being a thief! He asked me if I had given it to the girls up front and I told him that once I got there they gave me a few forms to fill out then took me back to this room. I had no time, nor did they ask. I also told him that I knew how the process worked. I knew that it would need to be verified that this Groupon number had not been used and I assumed that he would have a list of Groupons sold with appropriate information that he could refer to. Who better to know if this particular Groupon, the one with my name on it and my identifying number, had indeed been used. I told him that he could also call in to check. Like I said, this conversation happened all within a span of one minute.
He did say that he would honor the Groupon and he did. He was nice enough. Even though I felt like he injected me rather quickly. I have had these injections done by a doctor I have used for many things, my family has used him, and he always took things slowly. He didn't rush to empty the syringe. I did bruise because he rushed. I had never bruised the three other times I had these exact same injections.
When I left, I did schedule another appointment for a Botox treatment ( was my plan before I arrived) because I feel like Groupon customers should spend beyond the Groupon special since we are getting a deal. But once I left and I went over exactly how this doctor treated me concerning using a Groupon, how his first response was that they were not doing Groupons anymore and how it could be copied, I was left wishing I had gone to my doctor, Dr. Cotter who is the sweetest doctor to every patient, for this injection. I cancelled the appointment the next day!
I do want to say that this is the only time I wished I had not purchased a Groupon.
