It was hard to book an appointment. I called several times and left messages but no one picked up or called back. I ended up wasting my Groupon.

Tried to book my treatment prior to expiry and correspondence by email indicating that they were unable to comply however were willing to extend the date. Dates were offered and excepted. Unfortunately due to a medical somewhat emergent situation, the appointment was requested to be changed. This request was in writing and prior to 24 hour minimum notice. The spa came back and indicated they would not honour the deal unless an additional fee of $60 was added. I indicated why this was unfair, however, it was agreed that my recourse be to contact Groupon for a refund of the original deal. I feel cheated and hope you will remedy this deal.

Maria the esthetician was very nice, however she was not very skilled at doing manicures and pedicures. The clinic looked old and rundown, it did not look a professional spa. There was only one person working and it took Maria almost 3 hours just to complete a back massage and mani/pedi. In addition, there were very few nail polish colours to choose from (even for the shellac service which would cost me another 40 dollars). In the end I refused the facial service because it was taking too long. I would NOT be back and I would not recommend this to anyone.

The experience was odd. Upon arriving the place looked like a badly decorated Asian restaurant. For the manicure, she didn't soak my nails in order to push back the cuticle or remove the dead cuticle, she just scraped away at my nails. The polish was very badly applied, around the cuticle is not even. The massage, there was no actual bedding used on the bed - they had brown towels that I had to climb into - weird.

From Our Editors

Since Oakridge Laser & Skin Care Clinic's service menu leans so heavily on advanced medical procedures—think laser vein removal and even intense-pulsed-light skin rejuvenation—it's a good thing the centre is run by Dr. Shihab, a physician with an impressive background. He has concentrated on laser technology for more than 12 years, and he shares his knowledge with students at the Laser and CosMedic Academy, which he founded.

The clinic is also home to a spa side, where staffers relieve muscle tension with five kinds of massage, groom hands with peppermint-sugar scrubs, and cleanse faces with minerals and skincare products from Bhoomi Minerals.
