The Wallflower offers health-conscious foodies a contemporary take on classic diner grub with a newly developed menu marked by vegetarian-, vegan-, and celiac-friendly victuals. Stir awake your stomach from a hungry hibernation with an appetizer such as poutine ($9), hummus and eggplant dip ($9), or Yorkshire puddings ($10) packed with roast beef. Or, hold out for one of The Wallflower's burgers, such as the thousand-island-dressed Ordinary burger ($11) or the Portobello burger ($11); all burgers and sandwiches are served with fries, greens, or a Caesar salad and offer options for veggie-burger patties and gluten-free buns. The Wallflower's entrees traverse the terrain of tabletop traditions—the Mac 'n Cheesey ($11) uses vegan cheddar in its nest of noodles, and the Meatloaf Wellington ($15) pairs its meatness with a puff pastry, vegetables, and mashed potatoes. Other entrees include fried chicken ($14) and a tomato-basil quesadilla ($12). Barons of breakfast will find food-filled satisfaction in the diner's brunch menu, with omelettes ($7) and crab-cake benedicts ($12) making appetizing appearances.
