West Restaurant + Bar, Vancouver

I bought the cookbook based on my past dining experience there. Brought our 11 year old daughter and 9 year old grandkids and they enjoyed it as well. They are well behaved and accustom to fine dining (if your kids are not, please don't bring them as it is a real meal spoiler for others). Prefer to go back to dine rather than create something from the book. If you like this restaurant, you will also enjoy Araxi in Whistler.

West Restaurant excellent food, service is super excellent. Last time , totally not happy at Nu restaurant , is bad.

Excellent service and delicious food.... I would go again for sure and try their desert. I was too full after my meal so I skipped dessert, but next time I would really like to try...

(the form went blank as I was typing so I apologize if this message has been sent twice) I unfortunately have not eaten at West (I have some food restrictions) but you can learn a lot from a telephone conversation and a few minutes in person. I apparently was the only person who called ahead to ask when would be the best time to pick up the cookbook as I knew it would be foolish and inconsiderate to drop by during a busy lunch or dinner period. The staff were surprised when I phoned and were grateful, helpful and very friendly both over the phone and in person. Therefore I look forward to eating at West and hope to find the time to take my parents when they visit next month. And I can't wait to start using the cookbook! I would also like to add that it is unfortunate that there are so many Vancouverites that couldn't figure out 'Ouest'. We're not nearly as metropolitan as some people would think. Thank-you, T.
