I walked in with a vehicle. I walked out with a vehicle that had to be scrapped.

I was not happy with the outcome of my oil change with Harris Chrysler Jeep.. It says for newer vehicles expect a surcharge for synthetic oil.. the surcharge was more than the cost of the Groupon.. I expected a surcharge of about $20 as other places have done, not $65! That’s a rip off and I will never go there again..

I took my car in for the oil change/peace of mind inspection. I received a phone call when it was done and they advised me they found some additional items that needed immediate attention including: transmission fluid flush, power steering fluid flush, brake fluid flush, brake lubrication and a tune up totaling about $800. They said they could get all this work done for me right away if I gave them the ok over the phone. Considering I had just had an inspection/transmission rebuild 3 months ago I said no. When I went to pick up my car, they completely back tracked what had been said over the phone. He told me my brakes were fine and everything was in really good shape except for the fluid flushes but nothing urgent. Honestly, I think he assumed I had no idea what any of this meant and tried to take advantage of me. My partner took in his car for the same Groupon and had an entirely different experience. I will not be taking my car back here again. Really disappointed they took this opportunity to try and scam me into unnecessary work.
