About Baran’s Kenpo Karate
The classes at Baran’s Kenpo Karate forge stronger students by working on them from the inside out. Sifu Jim Baran leads sessions with an emphasis on self-confidence, perseverance, and mental discipline. Baran and his fellow instructors guide students through a multibelt progression of kenpo classes. Students learn quick strikes, rapid-fire kicks, and body blocks in an inclusive environment where no one feels out of depth or is forced to sit on the sidelines. Instructors also train adults in self-defense sessions as well as the rigorous krav maga fighting style developed by the Israeli armed forces.

we purchased $29 groupon good for 8 classes & a uniform. The 1st class was an intro 1-on-1 to access our son's capabilities in order to place him in the appropriate class. When we arrived for our 2nd class, we were pressured into enrolling him into a year's membership & that the $29 would be applied to the balance of the fee (which was $1600 plus $75 enrollment fee and other additional fees). We were asked for a credit card multiple times for these charges. We told them that all we were interested in was the 8 classes & the uniform (the groupon deal) as we didn't know if our son would like it - we didn't want to commit to an annual membership or spend $1600+ on something that was a trial

The instructor was very child friendly and made my child and myself very comfortable. My son is four and very active and the instructor was able to keep him engaged in the lesson.

THe staff is wonderful. Mr. Rick, Mr. Jim and Mr. Joe have all been a wonderful inspiration to my son and he REALLY looks forward to going to class, which is rare for him. :)
