About Lindsay Wildlife Museum
Lindsay Wildlife Experience in Walnut Creek is a place where kids and parents can meet face-to-face with the furry and feather-y neighbors living all around them in the East Bay. Over 50 species of animals can be met by visitors, with star residents that include a bald eagle, a desert tortoise, and a North American porcupine. The staff entertains and educates visitors with outdoor presentations, feeding demonstrations, and plenty of opportunities to touch the animals. In addition to allowing visitors to get up close and personal with the animals, Lindsay Wildlife Experience is home to a rehabilitation center that treats more than 5,500 injured and orphaned wild animals a year. Guests are able to visit the Wildlife Hospital Behind the Scenes theater to see the healing in action before the animals are released into the wild. Lindsay Wildlife Experience also hosts a wide range of Preschool and Homeschool Programs, as well as camps and activities during school breaks.
