Beware of Misleading Charges and Poor Service at Anathallo Day Spa
I purchased a Groupon for a “couples date night” promotion at Anathallo Day Spa for $136.94. The Groupon stated the original price was $500, with fine print requiring a 20% gratuity.
Before my appointment, I asked what the gratuity would be and was told via text it would be $139—which is far more than 20% of $500. Then I was told the original price was actually $695, even though that amount was never listed on Groupon or their website. When I asked for proof of this, none was provided.
To make matters worse, the spa had already redeemed my Groupon even though I hadn’t used it. They told me I could cancel and would receive a refund the next day after they contacted Groupon, but I still haven’t heard back.
This feels dishonest and misleading. The gratuity amount they tried to collect was not accurate or properly disclosed, and the customer service has been unprofessional. I cannot recommend this business.
