Cafe Asia is great. Eden, or the eden event, was not. The bartender was not good about trying to attend to everyone, they clearly used food they needed to get rid of, nd we were only able to get one piece of sushi. Totally not worth $45.

this was a horrible event- it was way overpriced for what was promised- highly disorganized, food ran out and mediocre at best- very unsatisfied with the whole thing

Apparently an 'Open Sushi Bar' means a twenty minute wait for a single roll. They also ran out of rice after half an hour. And some girl was passed out for forty five minutes and then started vomiting, at which point she still wasn't dealt with by management. Simply egregious disregard for customers, I will never come back here.

Event was hosted on the roof top of club Eden. And we barely were able to eat any of the sushi and they tan out of rice half way through. Unbelievably loud music the entire time. Night the nice open sushi/lounge event that we thought it would be.

This was the worst Groupon experience I've ever had and I was sorely disappointed. There was no sushi offered the first date as advertised and to top it off, the second date FAR from met my expectations. Half an hour late, no class, none of the other activity options available, loud and no seating, combined with another event, it was truly an awful experience. What did I even pay for???

Don't overbook the room with various activities if you cannot meet the expectations of what you are trying to sell.

The groupon advertised is not what we got. There was no sushi making class, just a guy behind the bar handing rolls out, and none of the other options mentioned. They did not plan well since there was also another large event. Not worth the $45 paid.

From Our Editors

Café Asia's menu reads like a jetsetter's dream itinerary. Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, China, Japan, and Vietnam. These seven East Asian countries may be the starting point for the eclectic lineup of spring rolls, ramen, fried rice, panggang, and noodle bowls, but it's Café Asia's chefs who take it to new places. The Vietnamese grilled pork demands special attention; chefs marinate the meat overnight with lime, garlic, fish sauce, and pepper. Café Asia could easily stand on its own as a sushi bar, however. Contemporary twists on traditional rolls have led to creations such as the eight-piece cajun roll with crawfish tail, sriracha, spicy mayo, and diced jalapeño, which is the world's spiciest fish.

The food's diversity has won many fans. In an article published on January 3, 2011, Examiner.com rightly noted that the restaurant has "enough choices to please almost any palate." The Washington Post also noted that the restaurant has hosted such distinguished guests as Dr. Jill Biden. Two full-service bars and a lounge allow Café Asia to host a slate of special events each year, including its New Year's Eve party.
