About Cork & Fork

The Landragins really know their stuff when it comes to wine and champagne. Dominique’s family has been making champagne since 1772. His grandfather managed Veuve Clicquot champagne vineyards, and his father managed Heidsieck champagne vineyards. Dominique himself managed champagne vineyards in his native France before moving to Australia with his wife, Anna, where he produced sparkling wines for 14 years. Now the Landragins have opened Cork & Fork, where they educate oenophiles about champagne and wine during tastings and classes. The wines come from all over the world, but Cork & Fork focuses mainly on small, independent winemakers.

This event is not worth the price. You receive only 6 very small (1 mouthful) pours of wine. The cheese plate was generous and tasty, but with wine being the draw I did not feel this small tasting fit what was advertised, especially when many shops offer such tastings for free.

I assume that the wine was good, but the wine pours were so small you could barely taste the wine. They were so stingy about their wine pours that the whole experience was negative for us. That said, they did have some nice wine to purchase.

The place is very small and cute. You're standing the whole time but the wile selection is great and I had a good time.

Really disappointing. It was like paying for a free wine tasting with a small amount of cheese that had been drying out in the air for a long while. I like this wine shop generally, but this was a seriously disappointing event. I'm glad I had a Groupon discount to apply, or I'd be even more unhappy. Feel bad for anybody who paid full price.
