About Mt. Madonna Stables

David and Michelle Mahoney—owners of Mt. Madonna Stables along with Michelle's mother, Marlene—share a love of horses that stretches back more than 50 years. Today, with some help from trainer Cathy Grimes, they board horses, teach students, and lead scenic trail rides through the beautiful landscapes surrounding Watsonville. The stables also frequently host horse shows, in which equestrians can show off their skills and compete for coveted ribbons or edible, orange, carrot-shaped trophies.
