There are no "old fashioned" speakers to hang on your car. You have to tune in to a radio station which means that you have to sit in your car. We were lucky enough to sit next to a family that brought a portable sound system and large speaker allowing us to sit in lounge chairs outside of our car. The facility does provide about 20 seats in front of the concession stand for use if you want to sit outside of your car. There are speakers behind the seats. Get there early. There is only one ticket line to get in and it moves slowly. Lots of cars came in after the first movie started due to the long wait to pay. Concession stand popcorn was FABULOUS!!

From Our Editors

Since 1952, the family-operated lot at The Brazos Drive-in Theatre has invited carloads of movie-lovers to kill their engines, tune their radios to 89.1 FM, and recline as far as their seats allow for the evening’s double features. The historic theatre is the longest continually running drive-in in Texas, and was almost obliterated near to its 50th anniversary when a tornado rampaged through the lot, ripping half of the screen apart and saving the audience from a Rob Schneider film. Refurbished to its former glory, the recently upgraded digital screen now lights up against the darkening sky to show premier films.
