East Coast Floats, West Chester

In 2014, East Coast Floats set out to discover the most effective modes of helping clients naturally achieve blissful states. Their efforts have resulted in a state-of-the-art floatation therapy center, located in Baldwin Park with nearby dining and lakeside amenities. Each room is outfitted with a private, custom, built-in shower and clients are encouraged to enjoy a cup of Leaf It Behind herbal tea to hydrate after float or sauna sessions upon request.

In addition to the relaxing properties of floatation, the staff believes in its rejuvenating properties as well. An internal study with clients who had minor to moderate muscle strains, pulls, and tears showed a 20–50% reduction in pain with regular sessions. The decrease in sensory information is also purported to help diminish depression and anxiety, as well as improve sleep.

The spa oversees more than clients drifting inside the floatation therapy pods. Its full spectrum infrared sauna engages the heart to saturate cells with oxygen-rich blood and flush toxins and inflammation from the body. The staff also specializes in helping people recover from workouts or a bacchanalian night out.
