The sandwich was so good and the place is beautiful, dim low lights, mosaic tiles, I loved the decor.

It was a wonderful experience and the food was amazing! I can't think of one negative. It was also nice that the owner came to check on us before we left. Thank you so much!

Awesome food and service. Better than Ruth Chris Sullivan's Morton's

Had a fine repast with friendly, impeccable service and steak which was cooked just right. However, I was appalled by the lack of a dress code. Dining out in an upscale restaurant isn't just about eating; it's an experience, and in our case, an event. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary. I thought the dress would be "upscale casual" which for me = a sport coat but no tie. Several men representing different age groups appeared in the dining room wearing shorts and T-shirts. The temperatures inside and outside the restaurant were comfortable, yet these guys were dressed for a sidewalk cafe in the heat of summer. Anyone who can afford this restaurant certainly should know better and could certainly afford decent clothing. (Apparently the "nouveau riche" think they can do anything with impunity! Although it may be difficult for management to reverse a pattern once established, I feel that Chris and his team owe it customers who like a touch of refinement in that upscale establishment, to establish a dress code. Next time we return to Mile High, we'll expect to see an improvement in male garb.

I thought the drinks were a little high priced.

The food is good - all the steaks, side dishes, and desserts were good. I think the atmosphere and design could be improved. We were in the back room, it's a little sparse as far as decor. Not sure why there is a TV in that room (it wasn't on), but makes you wonder if this is a fine steak house or just a pub. Suggest working on the interior design.

From Our Editors

Drawing on his culinary background working in East Coast bistros and stately hotel kitchens, Mile High Steak & Seafood’s Executive Chef David Robinson crafts a rotating menu of upscale steakhouse cuisine. Robinson, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, refuses to cut corners with his ingredients, going so far as to fly in fresh seafood and grass skirts overnight from the Honolulu Fish Company. He only chooses aged certified Angus beef for his steak-centric entrees, and he revs up traditional sandwiches and appetizers on the bar menu with high-end items such as shaved prime rib, artisan cheeses, and lobster. These gourmet bites pair palatably one of the bar’s signature cocktails or glasses of wine.

Even in his down time, Robinson keeps his culinary skills sharp, coordinating charity events for the Chester County SPCA and the Brandywine Hospital Strawberry Festival. But even with his busy schedule and impressive resumé, he’s still thankful for landing his “dream job” at Mile High Steak & Seafood.
