Food was good, but decor could use some updating.

When entering the restaurant, there was a distinct musty like odor which was somewhat off putting. Decor reminded me of a school cafeteria. A Pergo floor would have been nicer than industrial tile. Furniture was dated. The food was good, but the presentation could have been improved. My broiled seafood looked like it was garnished with some dried parsley flakes and had one piece of wilted lettuce. Both the seafood and the broccoli were already buttered. There was no extra butter brought for the baked potato. I would have preferred to put my own butter on my food and maybe have some cocktail sauce and lemon for my seafood.. Another small addition would have been to have an orange slice in my Belgian white beer, as is traditional. The food was still good tasting, but it could use some tweaking.

From Our Editors

Wesos Bar & Restaurant’s diverse menu pleases palates that crave a mix of Italian and American recipes. Crispy chicken wings don sauces and seasonings such as a habanero-jerk blend, and chefs pan-fry crab cakes before topping them with housemade rémoulade. The kitchen’s denizens also crown housemade spaghetti with meatballs, and they whip up other Italian dishes such as chicken piccata sautéed in butter, lemon, and white wine. Tables large and small fill the dining room—perfect for romantic dates or suppertime games of solitaire. Diners can also compete in trivia nights on Thursdays and perform synchronized chewing routines to live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
