When they're not running their family farm and four farmers markets, brothers Harold and Louis DeLucia are making one Christmas tradition more sustainable and convenient for New Yorkers. They've curated an online ordering hub for lush Fraser firs, all of which are grown locally by environmentally friendly Christmas-tree farms. But the DeLucias don't just sell them—every tree order includes installation, a tree stand, and delivery for residents of Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn. The delivery men and women even make last-minute trimmings and sweep away fallen needles and wayward elves to ensure the tree fits the space. After the Christmas season, the farmers head back to the fields, planting two or three new trees for every one harvested.
