great place to eat and wager on everything from cards to horses and of course the grey hounds! the restaraunt and paddock area ranges from hot dogs to fine dineing! The food is excellent along with a great veiw of the race track! woud higly recomend it a place to visit for the whole family!
I have a great time every time I go. Betting is very easy at the machines as well as at the live tellers. Programs are only $1 which is great because it's very affordable. You can even get the program for free online.
As a horse player who frequents Gulfstream Park, I think I'll start coming here more often because I feel it is a lot easier to win betting on the dogs over the horses. The time between races is only about 10 minutes so it's a very fast-paced 15 races per performance. Also, the wagering menu is pretty extensive here as they offer Quinella as well as Twin-Tri and Tri-Super. Bets are as cheap as $2.
If you go, make sure you sit upstairs. They have concession stands there with very affordable food and beverages. For example, a 16 oz beer is only $2.50. At Gulfstream, that would probably be at least $5. They also have lots of TV's for simulcasting of tracks from around the country. This means that you can bet thoroughbred, harness, Jai Alai, and, of course, dog tracks from around the country. This area is very cozy as it has movie-theatre style comfortable seating with a great view of the track.
They also have two different restaurants which I cannot comment on because I've never been. But at least they're there.
The only minor complaint I have is that I don't think you can cancel a wager at the self-betting machines and they don't take anything less than a $5 bill. Kinda disappointing. Also, I wish they would allow 50 cent or $1 trifectas instead of only $2 trifectas or $1 trifecta boxes but I understand that they do this to try to keep the trifecta pool as high as possible.
Also, if you sign up for their VIP email list, they send you coupons for free stuff every month which is very nice. This is another thing that Gulfstream doesn't have.
They have a poker room too.
Great weekend activity and fun for all ages.
I went to The Kennel Club to play in a couple of World Series of Poker Tournaments the poker rooms were outstanding the staff was outstanding the cash game poker room was also a lot of fun including casino type poker games like three card poker and ultimate Texas Hold'em. The dog races are exciting the seating is well planned out and the food excellent whether you stop by a food stand or you have dinner in the restaurant while watching the races run. I really love the poker tournament schedule they have here and I would come here every day if I wasn't a hundred miles away.
I love this place, there is somuch to choose from. Dog racing, poker, off track betting for harness and through breds.
