One bite of a crispy plantain chip or slice of toasted Cuban bread, and diners at Romeu's Cuban Restaurant are transported to Cuba. Since 1978, chefs here have achieved these delicious teleportations through traditional dinner entrees such as bistec de puerco a la plancha (pork steak) or rabo en salsa (oxtail in salsa). Lunchtime dining calls for the ever-popular cuban sandwich, while breakfast brings eggs with ham and toast. Bartenders contribute Caribbean flavors to meals as well, mixing house sangria, screwdrivers, mango margaritas, and other favorites.
