Located at Veterans Green in Downtown Westport, Biergarten On The Green welcomes guests to an oasis of craft beer, German-inspired cuisine, and live music. Tasting mugs hold pours from local, national, and international breweries. The fermented treat is also highlighted during cooking demos, where chefs prepare appetizing dishes and advise guests on pairing food with beer. We got there by 3 pm but there was no beer left except a few vendors. Waste of money even with a Groupon. Will not do it again.

We had a lot of fun, enjoyed the band and the beer tastings. However, many of the breweries ran out of beer by 3:30 or 4:00. Had we not purchased a Groupon, we would have felt cheated since the tickets without the discount were rather pricey. We would do Biergarten on the Green again next year, but not without a Groupon considering the limited breweries in attendance ran out of beer half way through the event.

It was not at all what I expected. I thought it would be more of a restaurant setting. The mug was definitely a disappointment. The expiration read October 19th.....should have been more specific that it was only for the afternoon of the 19th and only from 1:00 to 5:00. My original plan, on purchase, was to use it an evening during the week.
