actually this is for Groupon because the survey makes it sound like I went to MOWT this summer 2012 and I used a Groupon coupon for MOWT more like 2010?? it was one of my earliest Groupons. So this survey is a bit outdated. I was familiar with MOWT for several years before the Groupon, mostly used it to allow some friends with young children an opportunity to go to MOWT because otherwise their finances would not allow, and as a fun joint family putting for the two groups of us to go together and hang out. As for MOWT, well it started as Dr. Jon K.....(forgot last name)'s personal collection, so part of it years ago just seemed like just humoring him for showing off stuff he liked to collect (as we had also been to Egypt and to some of the other world places that he brought his souvenirs from). But on the other hand, he did get some pretty cool stuff that I would never have thought to collect, and having actually BEEN to Egypt, and having actually BEEN to the Cairo Museum etc, we can believe that he did get some pretty good stuff? So it's always fun to check in every few years and see what improvements have been made since the earliest years when it was part of the "show and tell" exhibit at Century II long before MOWT moved into the old Farm & Art Market Building. I'd recommend the trip if you've never been to MOWT, even though part of it, for lack of endowment funding etc, comes off as a "homemade science project" and not as slickly professional as say, Smithsonian Institute (which we have also seen several of the museums there in Washington DC etc.).

I would not reccommend the Museum of World Treasures summer camps to any parent with a child over 7. My son is 11. I asked many times if the classes were geared to older chilldren and was assured that they would be appropriate for him. He was very, very bored and learned nothing new from this experience. It was so very elementary he spent most of his time wishing he was at home.

Better maps are needed. I was a bit lost with the one provided.
