Though the picture harkens back to images of movie stars from the 1930s and 40s, it's actually one of The Joseph Gurcsik Studios' homages to old Hollywood-style photography. A nod to the past suits this seasoned photographic institution, which was founded as a go-to studio for school, prom, and family pictures more than 50 years ago by Joseph and Edith Gurcsik. With help from the second generation of Gurcsiks, they’ve since ushered in a number of new specialties, including pregnancy portraits and business headshots. They also snap photos that commemorate first communions and that one day when you made every green light.
