Great gluten free offerings. Too bad they have made the fryers unsafe though.

Order most of anything, these people make fantastic Mexican food! Just don't expect your normal California-mex fair - this place makes REAL Mexican food!!

Service was OK but food quality has slipped. Rice was the consistency of overcooked minute rice. Enchiladas were nothing special and a bit soggy/mushy.

Food was ok, but certainly nothing to return for. It was pricey for what is was. Margheritas also disappointing and nothing like a good "Mexican" margherita. Service, however was good. Our server was very pleasant. I really wanted to like this place as it was our first time and i had read about their "authenticity" on their website. Unfortunately a disappointment.

The service was impeccable. I ordered a salad by mistake as to sounded like 'enchilada' and they graciously asked me if I wanted to order something else. I did and they wouldn't let me pay for it when I offered.

From Our Editors

When the Godinez family opened the first La Bamba in Saskatoon in 2007, part of their impetus was the exhaustion of searching for the authentic bouquet of flavours that bursts forth in traditional Mexican dishes. "We were tired of trying restaurants that pretended to be Mexican," Juan Godinez says on La Bamba's website, "but were never [finding] the real flavours we were craving." Their solution was that first restaurant in Saskatoon, whose success has bloomed into a family of three Mexican eateries. Today, the restaurant clings to its culinary roots by serving up enchiladas, flautas, tostadas and other authentic Mexican meals. They also offer gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options for those with dietary restrictions and those who firmly believe that they're stegosauruses.
