About The Usual

At The Usual, the "usual" sandwich isn't an egg salad. Or, if it is an egg salad, it's one with roasted pork belly, lettuce slaw, and sweet tomato jam piled onto texas toast. Even what the restaurant deems classic orders have a hint of the gourmet to them. And its "unusual" orders embrace decadence.

There's the The Atomic, which stacks fried mortadella and a range of toppings on pork milanese. There's also the Korean steak and cheese with two aiolis and a garlic-ginger marinade. The most decadent sandwiches, though, require a knife and fork to enjoy, including a meatloaf sandwich crowned with hashbrowns and a fried egg.

The Usual is closed - out of business. There is another restaurant now in the space they were in. When the Usual was in business it was very good.

The food was okay but the service was terrible. There were only 3 other tables with people at them yet the waitresses had no interest in coming to the tables, they were more concerned with being on their cellphones. Another waitress kept putting her hand down her pants while working, and she did it at least twice. We won't be back.

Food was about average quality and overpriced. Small sandwiches that cost $13+.
