The Worcester Common Oval is a magical place to go out and have fun once the weather turns dreary. Throughout winter, the oval rents skates and sends the adventurous slipping and sliding out over the ice. During public-skating hours, The Dogfather concession truck sells hot dogs, nachos, and hot chocolate to keep bodies warm despite the icy chill.

They would not honor the face value of my expired groupon. Even though I showed them what it states right on the groupon. The person was even rude about it. We stayed and skated anyway. The ice was really slushy, and part of the rink was closed. The saftey/security people were not even on the ice, they were sitting on the side. A few people had to ask them to come onto the ice to stop some boys from chasing each other unsafely around the rink. I was there so my little ones could have fun and they did. I think they could keep the condition of the ice in better shape and be a little more polite. There are lots of places to skate in the area and I am not sure if I would go out of my way to go back to this one.

Great place to bring your little ones to skate and great hotdog truck that's parked for your eats or drinks that's awesome. The rentals are top notch and staff that work there are very helpful and nice. Free Parking is available under the City Hall on the weekends.
