When ordering our meal we mentioned we were using a groupon. Immediately the waitress's demeanor changed, she asked to see it then read it over for a long time while we sat waiting for her to finish. I asked if there was a problem and she replied no but that after this they were no longer accepting Groupons (so glad I hadn't bought two!). She added that the business had lost a lot of money on these...our service at that point was awful, we were ignored for long periods of time.My 9 year old son fell asleep at the table as we waited for our bill! We will not go back to Tom's Tavern although it is close to our home and the relaxed atmosphere would have been ideal for us and our 4 children. I regret sending the groupon email to friends so they could purchase one also; just hoping they didn't buy one.

Our steaks were of the poorest quality and covered in sauce to hide the fat and grisstle I would assume. One of the worst restaurant meals I have ever had, sorry to say. I had been to the Tavern in the past and I was looking forward to visiting again. Major disappointment.
